Privacy notice
A short, plain-English account of what this website collects, what we do with information you send us, and the rights you have over it.

Who we are
NY Accountants & Tax Advisors of 19 Galloway Street, Liverpool, L7 6PD is the data controller for the personal information described in this notice. You can reach us at info@nyaccountants.uk or on 07491 440849.
What this website collects
Nothing. This site has no analytics, no advertising or tracking pixels, no embedded third-party scripts and no cookies. We do not build a profile of you, and we cannot identify you from a visit.
The enquiry form is deliberately built without a database. When you complete it, your answers are assembled into an email and handed to your own email application — you press send. Nothing you type is transmitted to or stored on this website, and no third-party service sees it.
Our hosting provider processes standard server request logs (including IP addresses) for security and reliability. That is a normal part of serving any website and is not used to identify or market to you.
Information you send us
When you contact us by email, phone or the enquiry form, we hold what you choose to give us — typically your name, contact details, the nature of your business and what you need help with.
Why we hold it
- To answer your enquiry and prepare a quote. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests — you have asked us a question and expect a reply — or steps preparatory to a contract where you go on to engage us.
- If you become a client, to deliver the engagement and meet our legal and regulatory obligations, including tax filing and record-keeping requirements. Our lawful bases there are performance of a contract and legal obligation.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not become engagements: deleted within twelve months of our last correspondence.
- Client records: retained for at least six years after the end of the engagement, because tax and company law requires it.
Who we share it with
We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not share it for marketing. We disclose it only where we must or where you ask us to — for example to HMRC or Companies House when filing on your behalf, to your previous or incoming accountant during a handover, or to our professional advisers, insurers and IT providers acting under confidentiality obligations. All our processing takes place in the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area.
Keeping it secure
Records are held in access-controlled systems, protected by strong authentication, and shared with you over secure channels. We keep the amount of information we hold to what the work actually requires.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
- have inaccurate information corrected;
- ask us to erase information, where no legal duty requires us to keep it;
- ask us to restrict how we use it, or object to our use of it;
- receive it in a portable, machine-readable form;
- withdraw consent at any time, where we relied on consent.
Write to info@nyaccountants.uk and we will respond within one month. If you are not satisfied with how we have handled a request you may complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would rather you raised it with us first so we can put it right.
Changes to this notice
If we change how we handle personal information we will update this page and revise the date at the top of it.
